About Me
I created this space because I understand and have first-hand knowledge of the weight of caregiving - the responsibility, the emotional side, and the days when no one sees or experiences what you do.
My simple goal is to make sure that caregivers like you receive support, information that will help you, are able to reset after a hard day, and don't feel alone on this caregiving journey.
My name is ValerieB and I was a caregiver for both of my aging parents from 2014-2023; my mom had Pulmonary Fibrosis and my dad had Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia.
During my caregiving journey, I noticed that caregivers, including myself, were burning out in silence.
One thing became very clear:
Caregivers Need Support!
First, thank you for being here. These resources were created with care, love, and real-life experiences to support caregivers and families navigating the journey of caring for an aging loved one. My goal is to support caregivers and provide them with encouragement, insight, practical tools, and guidance, however, I'd like to set a few expectations.
